She is Something Else!

Ok I have been waiting a loooooong time to share this one with all of you
Linda went out one day a bought a drop cloth for painting

She began tracing a picture on it from our newly aquired projector

Of course being the smart individual that I am I asked "what are you doing?"

She said "I am painting what does it look like I'm doing"?

So I began taking pictures of her painting
And more Pictures

And then some more

When it all started taking shape I was blown away

She is amazing with a brush

I just could not stop taking pictures

A couple of last touch ups

And here she is the Artist and her work!

It was fun watching the progress as Linda would work on this when ever she had a spare moment. Most of the time it was around 11:30 at night sometimes until 1-2 am. I am so proud of her she truly has a gift to do this kind of work. Thanks for letting me share it with all of you and oh by the way

A Little R & R

Linda and I were invited over to Avila Beach with some of our Friends from Madera. We hopped on the Bike and drove over on Monday and came back the next day. It was great to get away form here for a couple of days and just hang out. Rick & Mary were very gracious as well as Tony & Juana. We got a chance to hike a trail that was absolutely beautiful. here are a few pics of that hike.

OOOPPPSSS!

I realized that I forgot to update you folks here on this blog regarding the Mens Conference . I was so concerned about putting it on the other blogs that I completely overlooked this one my apologies. Heck If I was you I would'nt even read this one anymore ha ha. Just kidding!

God totally blessed the guys and of course I was blessed as well. Although I was exhausted after it so we took a day off. We have a BBQ this Sunday after the service and we are looking forward to it.

Prayer Request

I will be speaking at one of the sessions
tomorrow at this Men's Conference and
I am enlisting Prayer Warriors to aid me
in the battle.

Los Banos is a small town with alot of
"going through the motions" if you know
what I mean. It is never easy having to
touch on the topics that trip Men up but
being since I have been one of those Men
I need to be faithful in delivering GOD"S WORD and not mine!
Please pray that the guys receive what is shared by all the speakers
and that God would be glorified.

I will give you an update late tomorrow to let you know the results

Jesus Saves!

Upon hearing that my Brother Robert needed surgery today Linda and I drove to Fresno to be with Family. We made it there just in time (God's time) before they whisked him away. I got
a chance to see him and at least try to pray with him. As I saw him there on that gurney my heart broke for him. A gauze patch over his right eye and tubes everywhere I wanted to cry. Memories of my Brother Gilbert who went home to be with the Lord 2 1/2 yrs ago raced through my mind. My heart just broke. Here is my last remaining brother in this condition.

I told my brother the only thing I knew to do I said "Robert, Jesus loves you" He died for you and for me. He told us "come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest." Do you need rest right now? With tears streaming down his r/eye he said "Yes" I told him "are you tired of living your life the way you have apart from Jesus?"

I explained the gospel to him in the most simplest form and he cried out " I want that right now"
My Brother's name is written in the Lambs Book of Life just as his Savior promised. Robert has a long way to go so please pray for not only his health but for his spiritual growth as well. He made it through the surgery OK but keep praying for him.
